Why does my rug look a little different than the pictures online?Andres2020-11-13T12:51:45-08:00
We do everything we can to offer the truest representation of our rugs on the website.
The difference in lighting between a home or office and our photography can affect how the
rug looks, the same way your type of monitor or device resolution can vary the tones of the
colors and the detailing. Our art department works around the clock to make sure the
images render properly in every screen possible but there may always be a difference.
Another important factor is the rug’s sheen or luster, which makes some rugs look very
differently depending on how the light hits the fibers. When the fibers of the rug are laying
down the light will reflect more and less color will show, making the rug look almost white
and shiny. When the rug’s fibers are standing up light will reflect less off the material and the
rug will look like it is supposed to, so a good brush (opposite to the fibers) and good
positioning will solve this issue completely!
Are the colors on your website accurate?Andres2020-11-13T12:50:16-08:00
We try to capture the pictures to display our rugs as accurate as possible. However, due to
differences in computer monitors, we cannot be responsible for variations in color between
the actual product and your screen.
Will my rug require a rug pad?Andres2020-11-13T12:49:41-08:00
On hard surfaces such as wood and tile, we highly recommend the use of a non slip rug pad
to keep your area rug from sliding around. Our high density rug pads are made with 100%
recycled fibers and come in every rug size.
How do I care for my area rug?Andres2020-11-13T12:48:00-08:00
To care for your area rug:
●Vacuum regularly and carefully! This will keep your rug clean and looking like new!
Regular vacuuming helps the rug’s fibers stand up tall like when they were first
woven.
●Sprouts that appear on the surface of the rug should be snipped at base using
scissors. Do not pull the fiber out.
●Spills should be cleaned immediately using a clean white cloth. Avoid rubbing, as
this may push the stain deeper into the rug. Classic soap and water should remove
most stains. If you are trying any cleaning solution, be sure to test it first in an
inconspicuous area to be sure the cleanser will not damage the fiber.
●To promote even wear of the rug surface, rotate regularly. This is especially
important if the rug is in a high-traffic area.
●Avoid exposing rugs to continuous direct sunlight. This will cause colors to fade over time.
●For deep cleaning, professional assistance is highly recommended.
Will the sizing vary a lot?Andres2020-11-13T12:46:51-08:00
We do our best to provide you with the most accurate dimensions of all rugs, but please be
advised that variations may exist by up to 2% of the disclosed dimensions. This is normal
and is not considered a defect. Power loomed and machine made rugs may vary in size
due to the machine looming process.
How do I unpack my new rug?Andres2020-11-13T12:46:51-08:00
Be patient and cautious. Remember that even being extra careful rugs can have some
wrinkles, ripples and bumps.
Simply lay your new rug out flat and let it settle. Leave it alone for a few days to a few
weeks. Yes, it could take weeks for the rug to naturally relax and lose wrinkles and bumps. If
you’re impatient and want to accelerate the process, flip it upside down and let it settle
further.
After unrolling/unboxing your rug you’ll notice that the corners might be slightly curved, and
there might be some creases in it due to its packing, but don’t worry, this is normal! Lay the
rug out upside down for a couple of days to allow its fibers to relax and flatten naturally. if
you can still see the curls place a heavy object, like a book or a piece of furniture, on each
corner for a couple of days to smooth out the curves. If you keep seeing creases and
wrinkles, and your rug is being a little rebellious, try rolling it inside out and leaving it rolled
for 24 hours. This should take care of it!
